The story
A device that shows the last thing a person saw. A recording of her husband's death. And a woman who should not be in it.
In the near future, neuroscientist Ines Calder builds a machine that recovers the final image from a dying retina. She tests it on the recording of her husband's last moments and sees herself standing over him, in a room she has never entered.
The deeper she digs, the further her own memories drift from the footage. Somewhere between what she remembers and what the machine shows, one of them is lying.
